Synopsis: Joe and Laura adopt two brothers, Matt and Josh. As the boys grew up and entered high school, Matt and Josh developed into basketball players and Joe was lucky enough to coach them. As fate would have it, Josh’s play was noticed by a coach for a 5A powerhouse high school in Dallas, who recruits Josh to leave his dad, brother, team and school to play for his team, The Patriots. Although heartbroken, Joe gives his son his blessing. Matt feels betrayed, but stays loyal to his father and his team, who struggle without Josh. In the big city, Josh is tempted by girls, drugs and alcohol. He is continually late to practice, is caught associating with kids who use drugs, and is subsequently expelled from school. As Joe goes to the high school to prepare for a game, he sees a disheveled figure at the end of the corridor. Joe runs to his son Josh, and embraces him as he tearfully begs his father’s forgiveness. Joe silences his son, and forgives him unconditionally. His love for his son could never change.
